A Writer Swimming Underwater

Still from the movie Black Water

Right now, I'm a writer swimming underwater.  Each time I surface at the Cyber-bistro, I gasp for air before returning to the murky waters of my chaotic life.  My schedule is divided like slices of pizza.  Every writer faces this, especially when deadlines are looming.  I cannot create more minutes in a day, however, I can manage my writing time more efficiently.  I'm getting better at holding my breath underwater.  When my novel is published on March 17, I plan to come up for air and float on the surface for a while.  For now, I will keep swimming until the final chapter is complete.

  1. Awesome allegory.  I've often alluded to this feeling as "swimming in Jell-o."
    Similar, right?
Good news is, when you come up for air, it will be exhilarating!
    Meanwhile keep paddling!
