If you haven't discovered the joy of connecting with others through Twitter, you are missing a vital writing tool.  And Hootsuite is the perfect complement.  Here are some basics for setting up a Hootsuite account:

  1. Click here to set up a Hootsuite account.
  2. Once you join the site, click schedule a message.
  3. Select a time for your tweet to appear.
  4. Type your message.
  5. If you want to link your message to a blog or website, enter the address in the section marked "add a link."
  6. Once you add a link, make sure to click "shrink."
  7. The final step is to click "schedule."
