The sun is about to come out as I type away on my MacBook Pro at the local Williamsburg McDonald's in Iowa. I'm here because I don't have an Internet connection at home yet. The people in the town are curious about the new writer in town. The girl who took my order at the counter told me, "I've never met a writer before."
I see a lot of strange looks every time I get out of the car on road trips with my tennis racket, racket cover and soccer ball, aka Ramona, Wilson and "Bro."
"They're my friends and they pose in pictures for my road trip stories," I said repeatedly during my recent seven state road trip. Some brave travelers actually agreed to be photographed once I shared about my life as a writer. Click here to see the pictures on my personal blog.
It appears my life is one big road trip and now it's time to write about the next chapter-- living in a small town in the Midwest. Everyone I meet has a story to tell. How about you? What's your story? Thanks for adding your thoughts below.
My story? Well, that is why I write a blog. My story has so many facets and is constantly evolving. Some days, I feel like I'm just along for the ride. Other days, I'm the writer. Once in a while, I'm both.
ReplyDeleteYou may enjoy the blog http://imaginationisyourcreation.com/. Great storytelling based on the people she meets and interacts with on her adventures.
I checked out your friend's blog. Interesting. And definitely great storytelling. Thanks for sharing. I love the pictures, too.
ReplyDeleteI've been toying with the idea of doing more storytelling, and she definitely does that well. Glad you found it interesting.
